Visit the Granatium in Radenthein opened in 2008 - a fascinating world of discovery on the theme of the "Gemstone of Love and Passion". Garnet was mined here for many years and then smoothed in Bohemia into enticingly sparkling Bohemian garnet.
The garnet exhibition will draw you into the wondrous world of the garnet and acquaint you with the "blood drop of the Nockberge" in all its forms and colours, as well as with its history.
Stroll through the mystical garnet tunnel and feel the aura and power of this special gemstone in the Garnet Room. You can mine garnets yourself from the rock, which are then washed and sorted.
Discover this unusual trip destination, for those interested in geology and for families - even without a guide. It is barrier-free and suitable for pushchairs. The recommended duration of the visit is about 2 hours. In the tunnel the temperature is only 8°C (blankets are available).
